Junior Infants

Junior Infants had a fantastic Sports Day in the school field. The children took part in a variety of fun races, including a running race, bear crawl race, egg and spoon race, and an obstacle course. Everyone gave it their best effort and had lots of fun. The school was divided into red, blue, and white teams, which added great team spirit throughout the whole school.  

On Friday, 13th June, Junior and Senior Infants went on their school tour to The Farm in Grenagh. The children had an exciting day learning about farm animals, going on a tractor ride, and exploring the different parts of the farm. They saw pigs, goats, horses, donkeys, budgies, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, and geese—and even got to feed some of them. Highlights of the day included the fun playground, go-karts, and the indoor play and sand area. It was a busy and enjoyable outing, with lots of happy faces all around! 

Zumba with Deirdre

As part of Active Schools Week, we had a fantastic Zumba class on Thursday with Deirdre, a brilliant dance instructor. The children had so much fun dancing to songs like Baby Shark, Sleeping Bunnies, and The Gummy Bear Song. There was lots of energy, movement, and giggles as we followed the fun routines. It was a great way to stay active and enjoy music together.

Junior Infants had a fantastic time performing at the Christmas Concert! The children sang I Love Christmas with great enthusiasm and showcased their musical talents with tin whistle renditions of Hot Cross Buns and Mary Had a Little Lamb. A big thank you to all who helped make the concert such a success!
