Active Schools Week
As part of Active Schools Week, we had a very special visitor in Boherbue NS—Emma Byrne, a former Irish international soccer player! Emma is the goalkeeping coach for the Irish women's team and she’s also Joey Byrne’s aunt, which made the visit extra exciting for our class. She came to our school the day after Ireland played Slovenia in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. We got to meet Emma, ask her questions, and hear all about her amazing soccer career. It was a brilliant experience and we loved having her in our school!
We had a fantastic time at our Teddy Bears’ Picnic! All the children brought their favourite teddy to school, and we enjoyed a great day of fun and dancing. The highlight was our outdoor disco—our teddies joined in too! It was a lovely way to celebrate together during Active Schools Week, with lots of smiles, music, and laughter.
