Sports Day 2024
Sports Day took place on Tuesday, the 18th of June. A great day was had by everyone. Thankfully the weather was dry and the sun even came out later in the day.
The children enjoyed taking part in running races, sack races, egg and spoon races, obstacle courses, three legged races, relay races and more. Sixth Class took part in a dress up race which was one of the highlights of the day.
Each child got an ice cream from the ice-cream van after all races were finished.
The White Team were victorious and came in first place.
Congratulations to the Red Team who came in second place.
Well done to the Blue Team who came in third place.

School Tours 2024
This year the children in Boherbue N.S. had wonderful school tours in different locations.
On Thursday, June 6th, Junior and Senior Infants went to Kennedy Farm in Killarney. The bus journey seemed very quick with all the chatting. The boys and girls learned about lots of animals including alpacas and pot-bellied pigs, played in the play areas and explored the magical enchanted fairy trail.
On Thursday, June 6th, First and Second Class went to Active Kingdom in Tralee. The children learned about Science with the Wacky Professor. They learned some magic tricks and had fun racing in inflatables.
On Thursday, June 13th, Third, Fourth and Fifth classes went to University of Limerick. This tour included various activities, many of which the children had never tried before. These included swimming, bouncy castles, water slides, Olympic Handball, dodgeball and more. We all had a wonderful day out!
From Monday, June 10th, until Wednesday, June 12th, Sixth Class stayed in Delphi Adventure Centre in County Galway. Arriving in Delphi they were struck by the beautiful scenery surrounding them Here are some of the activities that they children took part in: Kayaking, Climbing and Abseiling and Orienteering, Cooperative games and Team Tasks.

Active Week 2024
This year our Active School Week ran from Thursday, May 30th, to Wednesday, June 5th. The pupils and the whole school community thoroughly enjoyed the week. We engaged with many activities in an effort to move more. Some of these included walking Slí na Sláinte, dancing, rounders, basketball, gymnastics, welly throwing, puc fada, tug of war and more! The children had 'Active Homework' this week to promote a very healthy and active lifestyle. We are already looking forward to Active Week next year!

Visit from Kanturk Fire Station
The pupils in Third Class were delighted that Fireman Ben and Fireman Mario visited them in the Hall on Friday, the 24th of May. They went through the rules of fire safety. It was a wonderful SPHE lesson. Here are some of the rules they discussed:
