5th Class have been busy writing reports for English. Children picked a famous landmark, researched the landmark/building, wrote a report on it and built a replica of the landmark! Look at some of the amazing pieces that were created. We had so much fun!

Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition 2026.🔍
We really enjoyed taking part in this years Stripe Young Scientist. Our study was called "Real or Unreal. Are children fooled by artificial images?" We conducted a study with the 2nd and 3rd classes. The results were fascinating! in 3rd class, 41% were fooled by AI images and in 2nd class, 38% were fooled by AI images. It was so interesting. We got to go to the RDS in Dublin to present our project. It was a wonderful experience.
5th Class enjoyed celebrating Catholic Schools Week 2026. We discussed the theme "Normal lives-called to Holiness". We learned about people who are brave and kind and how they have a strong relationship with God. We learned how our faith in God can lead us to act with kindness and love. We wrote our own prayers.
We are really enjoying our sessions building and coding using Lego WeDo.
We had a great day celebrating French Day in 5th Class. We were delighted to take part in the "Say Yes To Languages" programme where we got to learn French for 10 weeks. Thank you to Kate for teaching us.
Eoin O' Connor inspired art. We are in the mooooooood for Spring!
We really enjoy friendship week. We got to buddy up with 1st class. We played board games and card games. We had a pyjama day at school and we made pancakes. We did some lovely art for Valentine's Day.
