A Student Council is a representative structure for students, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and the students. At Boherbue NS, we value the voice of our pupils and we provide pupils with greater involvement in the decision making procedures of our school and to help them learn about how democracy works. The aim of the Student Council is to allow the children an opportunity to contribute to the positive development of our school and to let the students’ voices be heard. Members of the Council are elected to represent their class and bring forth the opinions of all class members.

Each class votes for two pupils to represent them on the student council. Pupils are from 3rd-6th Class.
