Amber Flag

In 2021 we were successfully awarded The Amber Flag for Mental Health Promotion. The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts of primary schools to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental well-being. The Pieta Amber Flag initiative enables schools and youth groups across the country to raise awareness of the stigmas which exist in their environments, and the stressors on the mental and emotional wellbeing of those within them. 6th Class worked hard at promoting positive mental health in Boherbue NS and all classes completed activities to promote positive mental health. We held a no uniform day to help raise money for Pieta House and we raised over 1200euro. 

We are renewing our flag in 2022/2023 with lots of mental health promotion activities planned.
