Welcome to our web page for 6th Class!
We have a very busy year ahead so please visit our page throughout the year to check out some of the activities that we will get up to!
St. Bridget's Crosses
We were busy bees in 6th class this week making St. Bridget's crosses and helping some of the younger classes to make them too! We learned all about Ms. Buckley's experience of going on the Biddy boys when she was younger. It's very interesting to learn about some of our lost traditions associated with St. Bridget's Day. Happy bank holiday weekend everyone!
Lego Wedo Coding💻
6th Class had a great time experimenting with our Lego kits using WeDo coding! They created some of the creatures using coding and programmed them with our chrome books. It was a lovely activity on a Friday!
Catholic Schools Week ⛪
Catholic Schools Week took place from the 11th - 18th January this year. In 6th class, we explored this years theme 'Alive in Christ'. We completed a variety of activities based on this and reflected and discussed our beliefs together.
Christmas Panto - 'A Hint of Snow White'
5th and 6th class gave an incredible performance of 'A Hint of Snow White' over two nights on December 17th and 18th. All their hard work paid off and the children really enjoyed performing to a large audience on both occasions. Well done everyone, you did the whole school and all your families proud!
Hot Chocolate Treats in the Buttery! ☕
6th class took a well deserved break from their Christmas Concert practice to enjoy a hot chocolate and bun in 'The Buttery' courtesy of Mrs. Casey!
Cycling Course
6th Class recently completed a four week cycling course with 'Cycle Right'. This course was linked with the Road Safety Authority and the children learned so much about road safety.
Halloween Dress Up Day 2024 🎃
IRD Public Speaking
Well done to the pupils in 5th and 6th class that took part in the IRD public speaking event in Newmarket on Saturday. Juliette Buckley, Marc O' Connor, Cara Fleming and Tommy Clifford did our school proud as they each presented their own individual speeches in front of a large audience. They worked very hard for the last few weeks preparing their speeches. Well done!
September 2024
We have had a very busy month of September settling into 6th Class! We have had fun doing some nice art activities in order to decorate the hall.
