Trip to the Cinema in Killarney

All the pupils in the school enjoyed a very enjoyable trip to the cinema in Killarney on Friday February 2nd. All 200 pupils enjoyed the movie “Migration”. Check out our class photo at the cinema!

St. Brigid's Crosses

In celebration of St. Brigid’s Day, the children in 3rd class made some St. Brigid’s crosses. St Bridget’s Day is celebrated on the 1st of February each year. We used rushes and rubber bands to make our St. Brigid's Day crosses. Thanks to the children and the families who went out to gather rushes. Also, a big thank you to the pupils from 5th class who helped us to make the crosses.

Ancient Egypt Project

We had lots if fun learning all about Ancient Egypt.

We worked in groups to make our projects which were based on different themes.

These included Pharaohs, The River Nile, Egyptian Art, The Sphinx, Hieroglyphics and much more.

We really enjoyed creating and presenting our projects.

Lego WeDo

The pupils in Third Class were busy making a cooling fan using the Lego WeDo. We were building and coding using the Motor Power Block to make the motor turn at different speeds. We had so much fun!
