The run-up to Christmas was extremely busy in First Class, with lots of fun and laughter. We created melted snowpeople, the Grinch and people catching Snowflakes. We did a lot of building and made some wonderful pieces. The children decorated their Christmas cookies to celebrate their fantastic performance during their concert. We also had a movie day and watched Elf🎄☃️🍪
🎄Christmas Concert🎄
First Class had a fantantic time at their Christmas concert. They performed a lovely rendition of "This is the Moment" and used the music to narrate the tale of First Christmas. They also sang and played 'Óró 'Sé do bheatha 'bhaile' and 'Jingle Bells' on their tin whistles.Thank you to everyone for their support in making the Christmas concert a success!
In science we were learning about static electricity. We did different experiments to show static electricity in action. We had loads of fun making our hair stand up with a balloon.

We also went down to look at the "old" part of the school. This part of the building in 90 years old. The children were amazed to see the differences in the classrooms.
'International Dot Day'
On 15th September, we celebrated 'International Dot Day'. We listened to a lovely story called “The Dot”. We learned that we are all artists and that we can all be creative if we use our imagination.
Here are the wonderful dots that the children created!
