St. Patrick's Day Assembly

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with our annual whole school assembly. All classes performed amhráin, dánta agus rannta as Gaeilge. The pupils performed amazingly. Bhí siad ag spalpadh na Gaeilge. By the end of the assembly everybody was up on their feet clapping. Maith sibh a pháistí! Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir! Also, a big well done to all the children who for taking part in our annual poster competition for St. Patrick's Day. Check out the photos of the winners from each class below. Their prizes were yummy Easter Eggs! A big thank you to Michael Cronin and the Boherbue Tidy Towns Association who kindly sponsored the Easter Eggs this year. 

Boherbue NS Confirmation 2024

Congratulations to our 5th and 6th Class pupils of 2023/2024 who received the sacrament of Confirmation in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Boherbue on Thursday, the 7th of March. The Confirmation ceremony, which was celebrated by Fr. Jim Kennelly, was beautiful. It was an uplifting service in which the pupils confirmed their faith in God. The pupils prepared for their special day with their teachers Mrs. Lynch and Ms. Buckley. Thank you to the children in Third and Fourth class for their beautiful music and singing. 'Míle Buíochas' to Alan Finn for preparing the music on the day. It was a truly special day. 

Bravery Award

On Friday the 10th of November 2023 Marc O' Connor received a Certificate of Bravery at the National Bravery Awards. He was awarded this for aiding in the rescue of his mother and sister from an overturned car at Keelnahulla Cross, in County Cork the previous December. 

Everyone in Boherbue NS is so proud of Marc.

We are in awe of his exceptional bravery.
