Communicating with the school
Frequent communication is of vital importance in developing and nurturing co-operation between home and school. We see parents as being of paramount importance to the education of their children. Our policy is to involve parents in their children's educational development. We try to develop good channels of communications between school and parents in order to facilitate discussion of pupils' problems and progress.
If you wish to contact us by phone or call in to the school you are welcome to do so. If you wish to to make an appointment with a teacher, please contact school to arrange a time that is suitable to both parent/s and teacher.
Where the teacher wishes to contact individual parents, he/she will write a note in the Pupil's Diary/make a phone call or he/she will write a separate note if the situation demands it.The class teacher will arrange a time that is suitable to both parent/s and teacher. Parents may use the Diary to communicate with the teacher.
We are also using ‘textaparent’ to send an instant message to each parents mobile phone.
If there are important messages during the year (school closings, special happenings etc.) you will be informed in writing. We will also update our Downloads page (Newsletters) and Homepage on the school website. It is important to check your child's bag as letters/notes can be mislaid or the pupil may forget to hand up the note.
